I am a mom on a mission.

My daughter was diagnosed with microcephaly at just two months old. At the time, we didn’t know what it meant, how it happened, or what the future would look like. Like many parents, we were overwhelmed and searching for answers.

We saw countless specialists—neurologists, geneticists, therapists—hoping someone could give us clarity. Instead, we were told it was a spectrum, and that we would have to wait and see how it affected her over time. That uncertainty didn’t sit right with me.

So I took matters into my own hands.

I immersed myself in learning—about the brain, how children develop, and what could support her growth. I explored therapies, researched alternative approaches, and became deeply committed to helping my daughter reach her full potential.

As she grew, her challenges became clearer. She struggled academically, socially, and emotionally. We tried public school, but it quickly became apparent that it wasn’t the right environment for her. Her confidence began to suffer, and I knew we needed a different path.

I was determined to find a place where she could thrive—not just academically, but as a whole person.

After extensive research, we found a small, supportive school environment where she began to rediscover her confidence and joy. For the first time, she was excited to go to school and felt comfortable being herself.

As her needs evolved, so did our search. I explored private schools, micro-schools, and specialized programs throughout Broward County to find the right fit. When we finally did, we saw meaningful progress—most notably, when she began reading at eight years old, something we once feared might never happen.

That moment changed everything.

Over the years, our journey has continued, with new challenges and new growth. I’ve come to understand that her path may look different than we once imagined—and that’s more than okay.

Along the way, I met countless families who felt just as overwhelmed, lost, and uncertain as we once did. I began sharing what I had learned—resources, insights, and guidance—and families started turning to me for help.

That is how Growing Roots Educational Solutions was born.

Today, my mission is to help families of unique learners find the right educational environment—one where their child is supported, understood, and able to truly thrive.

Elaina Mayer is dedicated to helping families navigate the complex world of educational options for children with learning differences.

With a strong understanding of diverse learning needs and the challenges families face, Elaina provides compassionate, personalized guidance to help parents make informed decisions about their child’s education.

She works closely with each family to:

• Understand their child’s unique learning profile

• Identify the most appropriate school environments

• Provide clarity and confidence throughout the process
   

Elaina’s approach is both strategic and deeply personal—ensuring that families feel supported every step of the way.
